Billing and Insurance Information In Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter FL

Our goal at Sports and Orthopedic Specialists(SOSPT) is to provide the the highest quality of care for each and every patient. Patients will work one on one with a Physical Therapist for 55 minutes every session.

Because of the structure of one on one treatment sessions, Sports and Orthopedic Specialists is a fee for service practice and an out of network provider with all insurance carriers including medicare. As a courtesy, SOSPT will file a claim with the insurance company for the patient at the time of the visit. Patient's will be directly reimbursed from their insurance provider.

In the state of Florida, most patients do not need a prescription from a doctor to receive Physical Therapy services. The only exceptions are for Medicare and motor vehicle accidents. With medicare and mva you will need to obtain a prescription from your doctor before starting a Physical Therapy program.

Why choose SOSPT if they are not in network with my insurance plan

Most clinics that are in network with insurance do not provide one on one care with a Physical Therapist. You may only see a Physical Therapist for a few minutes of the actual session and then either be left alone to complete your exercises or rehab under the supervision of less qualified aides or assistants. At SOSPT, you will work for 55 minutes under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Our Therapists at SOSPT strive to be the best in our field. SOSPT Therapists are required to have additional training in sports medicine, dry needling, manual therapy, osteopathic manual medicine, pilates and have sport specific specialization.

What does it mean to be a Non Participating Provider with Medicare

Being a non-participating provider with Medicare is very similar to being a participating provider with Medicare except the patient will pay at the time of service for their visit. SOSPT will then submit charges to Medicare on your behalf. This will allow the patient to be directly reimbursed from Medicare for their visit. Visits are not usually covered 100% by Medicare but a significant portion of the visit will be reimbursed. We recommend you reach out to medicare or your insurance provider to inquire what your plan covers as there are now many different types of Medicare and Medicare advantage plans available.

Please call our office at (561) 328-9298 if you do not see your insurance company listed above.
